"Freedom", watercolor, Freedom is not a word that should be taken lightly. It’s not something that is simply implied, nor does it come without a cost. To many, our flag represents our people, and our freedom. However, that alone does not guarantee or protect this right. Given the current situation in our world today, I felt compelled to create a painting with specific imagery that would signify our freedom, as well as credit those who protect it. That is precisely why the identification tags hang proudly before our flag. These ID tags represent the brave men and women who ensure that our freedom is protected (when threatened).
